A week ago i got a phone call from a person claiming they are from the summons department , and they were looking for a person that i didn't know so i called back and told them tthat i don;t know that person. Now Monday i got another phone call same voice and same message , but this time in my name but the number was from minnesota , the first call came from a south carolina number and today i got another call but now its from a californa number same person. How can we stop these calls
Do not call them back. It's a waste of time and it only fuels them to continue since they know it's a legistimate number and person. Don't set yourself up. Just ignore it. My rule of thumb is if I don't recognize the number, I don't anwser the call. Period. If it's a legitimate phone call, they'll leave a message, and I'll decide if I want to call them back or not. I hold the power, not them.
Have been receiving these calls stating their is two fraud cases against my social security number and i need to call them immediately. Gave me a case number and do not know anything about the name of the company or anything
I got the same call last night around 7:30PM threatening that I was in violation of fraud with my SS# and they would be bringing a summons to my home or place of employment. I had this on speaker phone and it scared my child. What legal actions can we take against these people?
I called them back today and I could not understand the lady and when I asked her to repeat, she did and quickly where I could not understand. When I asked a third time, she put me on hold.I called back and it went straight to voicemail. This call was coming from Colorado.
Most people do not have time for these annoying calls and these people need to charged and put in jail for harassment.
Most likely they want your SS number. To sell it.
Don't give it to them. Ask THEM what it is! If there is fraudulent activity against your SS number...
Then they should know your SS number! SCAM!
Received a phone call using scare tactics to get you to call them back. They said in the voice mail they wanted your SOCIAL SECURITY # and name!!!!! When I called back got put on hold 3 different times. This needs to stop.
