"Crescent" displays on the caller ID from this number. So, I stop everything I'm doing and answer the business phone. All I hear is background noise of people in a large office talking.....so, to spice things up, I pipe the call thru the office speaker system. Now everyone here can hear the chit chat of these scammers. Hope it cost them some money to entertain us, and to have the phone off the hook so long. So much for us being on the No Call List.
They just called and it was silence for about 10 seconds. Finally a woman with a southern accent asked for the owner of the business. I said they weren't available, but I could take a message. She said "No message" and hung up. They call at least 3 times a week and we shut them down right away they don't remove us from the list I am going to look into blocking their number.
I agree! Why on earth should we have to turn off our phones to avoid low-life scumbags like telemarketers? The Do No Call List is a joke. No one is enforcing it. They keep calling my number which is a business line. Business lines are exempt from the Do Not Call List. Why exactly is that? Because politicians are being bought and paid to allow this kind of intrusion. I've contacted my senators in Georgia, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isaacson. What an even bigger joke! The response I got from them was basically that these telemarketers may be offering me and my business a service I might want. Really? I am more than capable of shopping for any service I may want. Besides, I have all the "services" I want and/or need. What I want is these bottom feeders to stop calling my number!
