This is the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) fundraising outfit that has been harrassing me for years using multiple numbers, including 720-452-5678, 720-452-5655 and 720-452-6378. This time their ID is TeamUSA. I never answer these calls and wouldn't consider ever giving them a penny. I don't see why I am their only victim, but I am heartily sick of it and will be reporting them...again...sigh.
I started getting calls from this number in May (2013). However, the caller ID shows "Denver CO" and not TeamUSA, but I bet it's the same folks. I don't answer general ID callers unless and until I hear if they leave a voice message with more concrete information of who they "really" are. No messages left so far. And I'm not calling them back.
These guys are pretty relentless. They've called twice today from two different numbers. I've now blocked four of their numbers. Let's see if that's sufficient to stop them. I've been known in the past to donate to the U.S. Olympic Committee. It will not happen again.
After receiving eleven call within a two day period, I decided to e-mail the olympic committee directly,
"I continue to receive phone calls from TEAMUSA.org, like 11 call in a two day
time period looking for donations. Calls come from 720-452-6457, 720-452-6378
and various other 720-452 combinations. If this organization is part of your
organization, I want these calls stopped and your organization should cut any
ties with TEAMUSA.org as they are putting your organization in a very bad light
with the American public. I have been a supporter and a contributor to the
olympic athletes, however at this point I want nothing to do with TEAMUSA."
The response I received:
Thank you for contacting the United States Olympic Committee. We have received
your e-mail in regards to phone solicitations and would be happy to assist you.
We apologize for the telemarketing phone calls. Please provide your phone number
and we will have it removed from their call list.
