We get a call every night or two just before 9:00pm and no one ever answers.

Asked me twice is Elsie there? Yes and hung up.

Never ever use yes to answer things like this. Always respond with a question of your own such as Whom may I say is calling?  You never know what they can or might do with a yes answer.
