If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
I just got a call from this company and it was an automated recording that said they had pre-trial information and it was urgent they talk to me and for me to press 1 to talk to an investigator. The caller ID said Colorado
Yes I also received a phone call from Winston Mitchell regarding Pre Trial Litagations or some other type of B.S. It may as well be Winston Churchill calling because they will never ever get a call back from me.
Yes, I have been getting these calls off an on for the past couple of years from different phone numbers and people, companies etc. I never pick up calls from numbers that I do not recognize. They even have ways of spoofing the number they are calling from to make you think that they are calling from your local area code. As if you may think it is a neighbor inviting you to a barbeque so you pick up. Anyway all these fake companies have bought your information from Payday loan websites and claim they will sue you or they are investigating you regarding an unpaid loan whether you had a loan or not. They must send you a dunning letter with the original creditors name, amount owed etc. If you received nothing in the mail then you do not owe these scammers.
