Usually do not answer numbers that I don't recognize.
I was waiting on a call and was not sure of where it was coming from so I answered.
Police charity, yada, yada yada...
Probably a scam, not worth my time to look into.
Yet another # to add to the block list!
This number appeared on a call at my place of business (I'm employed at a law firm). The caller identified himself as a representative of the Illinois State Police. I informed caller that he could send us something in the mail, but that our firm did not respond to unsolicited calls asking for donations. He indicated that he was sorry to hear that - and he hung up.
The caller from 720-506-2138 claimed to represent the Illinois State police
and was soliciting a "donation". Surprisingly the call came from Denver,
Colorado.
When I phoned later to verify their number, and to request not to be called
again, they told me, so you "do not want to receive our SPECIAL PROMOTIONS."
