Super rude - got a call from "John" with ARC and told me i was left as a reference for one of my friends. When i asked what i was left as a reference for he got really rude and curt said that wasn't my business. Then he hung up on me before I could asked to have my number removed from their system. Maybe a debt collect or a scam - don't know any call reps that would be that rude.
I received a few calls from this number so finally decided to answer (after looking at this page first). It is a debt collector as other posters stated. He called me and asked to speak to Erica D****. I told him that he had the wrong number. He was skeptical and said that "the voicemail said Erica." I told him yes that was my first name, but not my last. He was rude and asked if that was ever my last name, which it wasn't. He went on to give me the incorrect last 4 of my social and address. Not sure where he got my number from but he def got the wrong person.
He just called me asking for Kathy G. Same last name. But, I don't know anyone by that name, and in fact, my last name has been different for more than a year and I've changed my number. How did he get my name and info? Kind of creepy.
Received a message from Matt @ Alpha Recovery Corp. I called him back, the debt he was trying to collect was my ex-husbands. Matt was very nice and said he would remove my phone number from the contact list.
