I also have a Panasonic phone and block calls. Is there a way to get it from even ringing once with the calls we block? So tired of getting woken up in the mornings, weekends, etc.
I have the Panasonic, too. Love it! I have a phone downstairs and one in the bedroom. In the bedroom, I turn the sound way down on the bedroom phone. Go to Menu, then Settings and choose Volume.
In the owner's manual for my Panasonic phone, it says that if a number is blocked one ring is allowed in order for the phone to detect that the number is blocked. Best to just turn down the ringer volume when you don't want to be disturbed. FYI, you can also set the Panasonic call blocking phones to reject all anonymous numbers, i.e. blocked numbers with no caller ID. I didn't realize that until I looked in my owner's manual.
This is NOT a real charity but a new scam where the thief identifies themselves as a charity that is too hard to not want to contribute to. They attempt to get a $10 donation and their goal is to get you to make this small contribution by credit card.
If you get a call that you do not recognize or from an out of state location and/or not in your smart phone contact list, mute the ringer and allow it to go to voice mail. Crooks usually don't leave a message and then you can block that number forever. If they do leave a voice message, do an Internet search to determine legitimacy.
