Have been so inundated with telemarketing calls today that I answered this one. Said hello four times (in a mad tone, I must say!) before someone responded. Female voice said "how are you today?" I responded "good, take me off your call list, please," and hung up. Hopefully this will work. SOOO sick of these unwanted calls and am at my maximum ONE HUNDRED blocked numbers, all telemarketing numbers. It's insane!!
I just read JRB's comment 12/8/15. Will probably try that approach in the future. But today, I had fun playing with this computer who called me. Upon asking if she was a real person, there was a delayed laugh and it said "Do I sound that bad today?" I said, "Tell you what, I'll believe you are a real person if you can answer one question for me. Who is your favorite football team?" There was a delay and then she said, "I can't give out that information." I laughed and said, "You're not allowed to tell me who your favorite football team is?" She said, "No." Somehow robot knew I was finished with the conversation. I wanted to play more, but she thanked me for my time and hung up.
There is a legal entity of lawyers that deal with harrassing phone calls. Google it. We sued and won 2500.00 but I haven't received payment yet fron Connecticut law firm
Here's why: the majority of the settlement will go towards paying the lawyer. I don't believe your story anyways-what are the names of these 'lawyers'?
My old Panasonic phones had the capability to block 35 numbers. That is a drop in a very large bucket. I bought a new Panasonic phone system that blocks 250 numbers and also lets you set it so it blocks the first ring of every call. So all those robocalls that just ring once - they are blocked, and all you hear is - silence. Not even one ring. I love it.
