Got a call from this number the other night around 8:30. Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. It went to voicemail, no message was left. Got another call a day later, same thing. I did a little research on SSI, or Survey Sampling International, also associated with Opinion Outpost Surveys. Apparently this company suckers people into doing surveys for them over the phone, and people might earn a few bucks for each survey they complete. I say "might", because reviews of this company indicate that they make it very difficult for people to collect. If you get a call from this number, don't answer. Better yet, put them on the "blocked" list, and you won't even hear the phone ring. No need to support low-life companies like this one.
Called our business line. Answered with business name and they said "Hello?". Sigh. Answered with business name again. Woman asked "Is this also the number for "Joe Black", who is an individual who passed away ten years ago. I said no, he died ten years ago and you need to get an updated call list. Silence. Guess they hung up
I received endless calls from this 720-800-.... prefix the last election cycle. They are trying to verify your name so they can call for political surveys in the upcoming 2016 election season, likely to start in January or February.
If you confirm your first and last name, they can check the public records for your political affiliations and call for political surveys throughout the election cycle. They will not stop, so DO NOT confirm your name. Simply say "who's calling?". Assuming they tell you, ask them to remove your number from their calling lists and that there's no one 'here' by that name.
Worked for me...finally.
Woe is me! Be error I answered the call from these [***] suckers. They were looking for a Martin Vadallis. Yeah right! Told them Martin was taking a crap and would be a while. Ok, can we speak to you then as long as you are on the phone. Told this [***] that I do not speak English and Martin is just finishing up and ironically would love to hear your crap. It is 9:00pm for gosh sake and I am next in line for the crapper.
