A man called and wanted to speak to someone in charge of customer service. I told him I would find someone for him and he hung up. It appears this is a land line in union county pa. That's all I could find out without paying a service for details.
This caller wanted to speak to an office person/admin assist. I explained we have several here and I need more information so I know which department would be appropriate to send the call to. He obviously was not prepared to answer any questions - He said he has some info to send them but needs to speak to them first. I asked what type of info and he said "office duties". Had I thought of it at the time, I would have let him know we already have plenty of 'office duties' here.....
I repeatedly get calls from this number. It is a telemarketer asking for "the person in charge". These callers should probably figure out the name of this person beforehand at least...very annoying.
I get this sort of call all the time. Not necessarily from this number, but
they ask for the person in charge. By the time I get to the telephone, they have hung up. When I dial them back, I get a recording stating that they cannot take any calls. Maybe they are too busy, I don't know/
I work for a transportation company and the caller keeps asking for "the person in charge of safety". when i ask them what it is regarding, they say it is OSHA stuff. They say they are not selling anything, and need to speak with the person in charge. I told them that was me.....what do you know. They were trying to get us to get their posters/magazines/newsletters. Free of charge of course. Until you get the bill. Telemarketers. Hang up on the losers.....
A woman called asking for the person in charge of building maitenance. She tried to get me to give her a name but I just gave her to our warehouse (no one ever picks up the phone in the warehouse and it gets annoying telemarketers off my back). These types of callers fish for names so that they can call back and seem more official. They are telemarketers nine times out of ten.
