Otherwise, your phone becomes practically useless, as this escalating flood of scammers amounts to a Denial Of Service attack on our telephones.

In the first place, if it's a legit business, it's not going to block it's name. And if you explain to them that the attorney general of your state and the sheriff's department will be here the day they arrive to discuss this scam with them, they get really pissed ;)

Sick and tired of [***] calling me,  the phone company should be able to auto block anything that comes in as name not found, unknown caller.   etc.   I think the phone only rang 3 times,  if it had rung 4 times my voice mail would kick in.  I might have to change it to an even meaner message.  Or I will leave a message like you have reached the county morgue
the dead are not available to speak.
