Received phone call this evening from 727-495-6846 from a Richard Clark with the Legal Investigation Department (Indian speaking voice, not American) who said that they had received legal issues against my social security number and I had to call back as soon as possible to resolve this matter. Mr. Clark was definitely in a call center because I could hear people in the background. Needless to say, I didn't return the phone call because I knew it was another scam artist at work.
Continuous calls from the number above from an Austin John who cannot speak english at all but what I get from the this person who is obviously calling from a call center stating that he needs for me and my attorney to call him back due to ssn is under investigation. They even have the nerve to call me at work!!! How do I stop them?!?!?!?!!?!?
I'm off work today and I got a call from a co-worker stating that Richard Clark called and stated I need to call him back asap. I explained to my co-worker that this is a scam artist and to hangup on them. I am reporting these idiots to the FTC, FBI(IC3), BBB, PA State's Atty Office and my Fraud Investigator. I am tired of these people trying to scam money from me and other innocent people. They need to be arrested. I have reported quite a few scam artists to these agencies, Most of these scammers are in different countries and use VOIP to make harassing phone calls to people. They won't stop because they are trying to embarrass innocent people into paying them money in order to try and make them stop calling. DON"T DO THIS!!! If they have your personal banking information, contact your bank and change your bank account numbers. My credit union forwarded me to a Fraud Investigator. Also contact the three credit reporting agencies and have a copy of your credit reports sent to you and put fraud holds on your reports.
got the same call today! It was a lady Jennifer Smith, so she said. It was a call center, after I harrased her with a few calls, she told me to [***] off ! Clearly she is going to need a lawyer soon.
