I reported them and sadly Everyone says there is nothing we can do. If you look online you can find numerous people dumb enough to fall for their stories.
let me also add I m planning on getting a petition to ask the FBI (who BTW claim this is coming from china and thus they have no way of enforcing it.) To do a further investigation. Even if it is from a country without a extradition treaty. At the very least pressure could be applied to have that country arrest these people/
This is a scam. I received a voicemail message from a male with a heavy accent. I called back because I heard the word attorney. I spoke with a female with a moderate accent who identified herself as Jennifer Smith. She said she works for Dispute Resolution Center on behalf of US Cash Advance. She said that sometime between 2008 and 2012 I borrowed $300.00. She said I now own over $7000 and I would be arrested. I was immediately suspicious. She made some outrageous claims that they would come to my work and arrest me and that they would call me back, track my location, and arrest me. She also said that they will go court shortly and get an official warrant for my arrest. I remained calm and asked questions but she could not confirm anything about the debt and could not confirm my address (which I did not provide nor would I when she asked). Suffice to say I know this is a scan due to a Google search. I filled out a report with my local police department just to log this occurrence in case something comes up in the future.
