Believe it or not, this guy called me again. This time, though, I played along like I was worried and wanted to make things right with the IRS. He said there MIGHT be a way for me to avoid arrest, and that was if I paid my back taxes right away (now). I asked him how much I owed and how can I pay them right now. He said I owe $5800.00 and do I have that amount available? I told him "Yes, how can I pay you now". He transferred me to his "supervisor" and wanted my bank information. I told him I owe NOTHING in back taxes and if he ever calls me again, I'll hunt him down in Florida and have HIM arrested! He hasn't called back and it's been 5 days.
I'm in NJ. We also received this call from 727-748-8570 claiming this was a second attempt and if we didn't respond enforcement actions would be taken. He also left information to " let them help us" . He had a heavy accent and said his name as Dee Watson. We didn't call back.
I have had 3 or 4 calls from this number - each time it is the same statement - this is your 2nd notice and then something about a magistrate - heavy accent - uses different call back names and numbers. This has been going on for a couple of months now. If I pick up the phone, there is no one on the other end...just a taped message. How can I stop this guy?

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
