I literally have hundreds of numbers for Portfolio blocked on my phone, they've been calling this number for years. I know it's nothing for me, my credit is spotless.
800notes needs a call type for scam, as I'm sure that's what these guys are attempting to do
This so company is a scam, they attempt to collect on expired, paid, collected and/or dismissed debts. They have collected this information illegally from sources who sell your contact information. They were attempting to collect on a invalid debt from 13 yrs ago, they called my personal cell number for my husbands debt from before we were even together claiming that my number was given as a contact number! They get this information from services such as Intelius (along with many others) where they can pay a monthly fee to look up people and their history, ie relatives, exes, employers, addresses, old numbers, anything that could have been noted somewhere. We have been constantly harassed by this "so called" debt recovery service for over years and years now, they disappear every so often for a stretch of time, then low and behold they get a NEW NUMBER and start this crap all over again. DO NOT give them any personal information. DO NOT bother talking to them, block the number and go on about your life peacefully!
