Can these PR a$$es BE any more annoying??? I live in IL, and I have reported them as they call me before 9am in the mornings, and pretty much harrassing me. I have NO idea what they are calling about, and frankly I could give a rats a$$. This is NOT how you conduct yourself professionally by hiring people who harrass you with phone calls ALL DAY LONG. I'm told in the state of IL, I can sue them, so I am currently keeping records of all numbers and times of day. I'm am sick of getting harrassed by these unprofessional A$$HOLES!
I got the most recent call this morning at 8am. I talked to them once last September and that started the barrage of calls. I haven't answered any of them since, but they do keep calling. They used to call every day, now it's down to once or twice a week. They never leave a message. I don't owe anyone anything. My guess is that they must hire stay-at-home folks who want to work part-time for minimum wage. They probably either give them the $ to use their own phones, or they supply them with a number. Here's the list of numbers that have called me so far:
757 961-3544
877 803-0008
800 772-1413
847 772-1413
847 878-9710
866 940-7460
731 215-8010
620 662-8870
731 984-7690
These [***] have been calling me throughout the day from a variety of numbers for more than three months. When they first called, I spoke to them and found out they are calling about a small credit card debt that was charged off 10 years ago, but which they claims now exceeds $3,000. I told them it was not my debt and that any event it was beyond the statute of limits for collection of open accounts in EVERY state and asked them not to call me again. But they keep calling. And I just ignore the calls.
However, they are in violation of Fair Credit Collection Practice laws in that they are required to submit a written demand for payment within 5 days of their first telephone contact, and they have never done so. So I've contacted a lawyer (who has sued them on others' behalf before), and we are preparing to sue them and get money from THEM instead. :-)
