I just think it's important to be aware that there are different laws that apply to third party collection agencies as opposed to first party. First party is when the company that you owe contacts you directly instead of through a third party collection agency. Also, they can call as early as 8AM not 9. However, if you take care of the debt then you won't have to worry about it.
Portfolio Recovery has called me 8 times since March 26th (it's April 6th today). Was once per day, but they've up'd it to twice on the 31st and the 5th. I wouldn't say it's annoying....YET. I just don't answer. Don't know who they are and we keep getting calls for Lawanda, Leonard and Laquisha from other collection agencies. I assume they're part of this group. They never leave a message. I could save them some money by telling them to call a right number, but alas....no message for who they want. Too bad for them, they'll keep calling and I'll keep "not answering" lol.
