Caller uploads a string of phone #'s so whether or not you're on DNC list you'll still receive a call. This problem is so big the gov't hasn't been able to get a handle on this situation. Optimal solution is don't answer if you don't recognize the #, downside is if you're waiting for a return call & not sure what # call is coming from it's frustrating to miss an important call.
Same scam, different number. Do not answer this number. If you have a call blocker, block the number. This is a scam that is phishing for social security numbers and credit card numbers in order to commit identity theft and fraud.
I got one of these as well... which is hysterical to me since I don't do credit cards at all. Take the advice of the people here! I finally got call blocking put on my phone last week, and while I haven't noticed the calls slowing down any yet (I have to input each individual number to my list), I have to confess it really gives me a jolt of sheer pleasure to take the 30 seconds to add these bottom-feeding lowlifes so they are blocked in the future. I figure in a couple of weeks, the call volumes should drop off, as most of the time the calls are coming from the same numbers for me.
I just noticed as I was filling out the call info below that there is no "Known Scammer Scum" option in the drop-down menu... but there really should be ;)
