Actually it works just fine. People and businesses are prosecuted under the law. But it is meant as a guide for
law abiding telemarketers; it will not stop the scofflaws and criminals. These calls are made by hard core Indian and Pakistani scammer/extortionists. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
