$100 gift card offer almost sounded legit as I have visited the sites they mentioned.(Walmart and others.) The man was polite and he knew my name and street address. I bid him adieu when he told me there was a $1 processing fee which of course would have meant giving out a credit card number. So I told them I did not wish to give out any further information. It bothers me that he already knew my name and address.
Received this call yesterday. Left no message. I do not know anyone in NJ. Another spammer or scammer to be blocked so they can't call my cellphone again.
I have been getting numerous calls from this number per day. They never leave a message and I never answer. This is just 1 of a thousand different numbers that continue to call everyday and numerous times a day, none of which ever leave a message and if I do pick it up they hang up immediately. These are scammers who are robocalling from outside the US (most likely India or the Middle East) who are then having their international number re-routed through a US phone number. Its why you get the same scam call from multiple different numbers. Its also because of this that if you call these numbers back, a lot of times they go to number that isn't in service. Being on the "Do Not Call List" has no affect on these scammers as they are calling from outside the US. And that list only effects actual US telemarketers and organizations/companies.
