5 calls in one day from these folks. Each time asked to be taken off their list...no respect, continues calling! 5 times in 1 day and we are on the Do Not Call list! How can I get these people in trouble or fined or something?
Received a call stating I was issued a grant for $4800.00 from the IRS for 5 years, sayine I never had to pay them back and all because I never filed for bankruptcy, they went on to give me an claim approval code then issued me another number that started with a 206 area code to call and claim the monies.
If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is not.
Long phone call, an "urgent warning", from "John Magroy", from the "technical department of windows support". He said my computer was infected, and wanted me to verify a very long # as the CSLID # of my computer. I told him I would have to verify who he is, and I consulted with a friend I was told what I expected, that he was a scammer. So I hung up on him, and he called me back! Then I told him I wasn't interested. What is so peculiar to me is that I listed to him for way too long, and that he stuck with his story for such a long time, and then had the nerve to call me back. I guess I led him on without giving him anything... and now I am reporting him and the #.
I have been getting these calls for 2 weeks now, every day. When I check number online, I am finding out others are experiencing the same thing. These are some numbers I be leave are coming from the same place in India; 815-566-3404, 407-605-2640, 732-873-8647, 206-701-0285, 786-732-1006, 972-220-9125, 214-628-0862, and 713-987-7360.
I do not answer the phone any more, and I report them and file a complaint with National Do Not Call List Federal Trade Commission 888-382-1222. If we all file complaints maybe they will do something!!!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION WHAT SO EVER. THEY ARE FISHING FOR INFORMATION. COULD BE TRYING TO ROB YOUR IDENTITY!!!
