I've received calls from this number and from 734-215-7875. They don't leave a message, and today when I answered, they hung up. I called the number back and it was an electronic voice that doesn't identify a company/service or who the call is from, but it did say "if you would like to be removed from our list, please press 1"...so I pressed 1 and hopefully will never receive a call from them again. (Hopefully I didn't unknowingly give them access to my account by pressing 1 or anything like that!)
The good news - no, you didn't give them any account information by pressing 1.
The bad news - by pressing 1, you told the robo-dialer that it reached a live human being, so don't be surprised if you get more calls.
It's a little trick they use. They're looking for live bodies, and only a live person will press 1 when prompted. They're probably in the business of compiling and selling phone lists, if they're not the scammers themselves. The software dials random batches of numbers and records the ones where people actually pick up. Scammers will pay a lot more for a list of live numbers than a list of dead-end ones (including numbers that always go to voice mail). If you get any calls like that in the future, just hang up.
