Unfortunately, if seniors were smarter today it wouldn't be worthwhile for these scammers to continue their nefarious activities. Fact is, there are a lot of dumb, naive people out there...of all ages; one need only look at who's leading in the primaries as proof.
I agree with others, very creepy. It is an automated computer who cracks jokes about stop, drop and roll. My guy was Kevin asking for money for fire equipment and to send kids to camp. If you are inclined to give, GIVE DIRECTLY TO YOUR FIRE DEPARTMENT RATHER THAN THROUGH A SOLICITOR. Blocked the number.
