First off, I'm so grateful for this site. I received a call from 760-284-0200 in a voice similar to that usedby the now famous Annonymous character. It instructed me to avoid criminal prosecution by calling another number. Interestingly, it mentioned that this was a tax evasion issue that the Department of the Treasury was investigating. That told me all I needed to know. The IRS will mail you a complaint which will be investigated locally in your state. God bless each of you for exposing this scam and I hope this miscreants are brought to justice.
Received a robocall from 760-284-0200. I was told that there is a fraudulent action against me for tax evasion. I was instructed to return the call to a different number (209-392-9719). I know that the IRS does not make phone calls. They will notify you via mail. Tempted to call back and tell them to "stuff it", but I think I will just ignore the request.
Called stating I was accused of tax fraud and would be arrested and sent before a federal magistrate. Scam and fraud caller beware. The ITS will NEVER call you for tax problems.
I received this call today. The same message was left on my answering machine, has the other people stated. Reading the instructions from Ouiser B., I saved the recording. ( by the way, Thank-You) So, now looking forward to the next call, which I can re play thier message to them, then inform them, that they are the ones who will be sitting in jail, for this phone is being monitored by the FBI.
