Got three calls within a minute of each other. No one on the other end. The caller ID showed El Centro, CA. I picked up and hung up immediately on the third time and the calls stopped. Okay, they did not stop - just got a fourth call, but this time the Caller ID stated 17604604913.
Call comes in identified from EL CENTRO, CA...right next to Mexico. Now that's trustworthy. You qualify for a reduced mortgage rate...so much static and broken communication and line interruption. Ummmm straight up ...NO.
Must be a new scam number...ha!
Looks like these scammers are getting desperate for new area codes to use.
We have the Di*it**e call blockers on our home and on our business lines.
Oddly enough, we didn't have the 760 area code blocked - BUT THEY ARE BLOCKED NOW!
We have found that blocking entire area codes works better for us. We are a small business operating in S. CA and we don't do business in other parts of CA or the rest of the USA. As stated above, blocking ENTIRE AREA CODES WORKS FOR US.
These CRIMINALS can call from any telephone number that they choose but if the call from the "760" - they are BLOCKED forever! Have friends, family or business in a blocked area code - simply "invite" their phone number - problem solved!
BTW - we have over 190 area codes blocked. When an area code is blocked, potentially you block 6 - 8 million phone numbers!
