Yes this is a Scan: My wife called me crying, saying this guy, Alex White called her on the phone from 360-637-6796 (google says Vancouver, Washington) and told her that she had an arrest warrant because she filed a false tax returns from 2008-2013. He said we were sent a notice in the mail and didn't respond so he had to issue a Warrant. She asked if I (husband) was also on the warrant. He said no just you. Funny, how I would not be on the warrant since we have filed jointly for the past 20 years. All she could think of is being put in jail and not seeing our 4 kids. She was like I have never broken a rule in my life. He was very rude, and in a heavy Indian accent, telling her not to interrupt. He gave her a call back number and told her to contact her tax attorney. We Never file our own taxes. We have used a tax attorney since 1993.He stated it would be very costly to go through the courts and such. She was smart enough not to give him any information and told him she was going to call our tax attorney. I work for the federal gov’t and told her to call the local police to get this information "out there" and to file a complaint with the Treasury Inspector General (TIGTA) http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml. Or call 1.800.366.4484.

I just received the same message from the same number and the agents name was Robert Price. Not only did he say I had committed tax fraud but the authorities were on my way right now to my house to have me arrested. However they did not ask for a birth date social security number or anything like that did have phone number and address. Did have a thick Middle Eastern accent, and so did everybody else around him. Sounds like a total fraud. I blame it all on Obama :-)
also got a call for my daughter from 760-666-1503 from Jordan Miller. did not tell them who i was and told them she no longer resides here and as i was hanging up the female voice with a thick Caribbean accent made a snide remark/sound. right after i hung up the same person called back and i let it go to the answering device. same message as others from Dept of Legal Affairs and needing my daughter or retained attorney to call back as they are starting legal action. i googled Department of Legal Affairs and there is no site for such and entity. Checked area code and is from Vista in southern california or surrounding communities. obvious scam.
I had the same call from the same phone number. I was told I needed to get a criminal lawyer because on Monday I would have the police at my door to arrest me.
I know full well I've claimed and paid taxes on every cent I've made so I told them to give me their contact information and I'd have my lawyer call them. Instead, I called the police, who already knew about these guys. It seems they've been calling my area today.
If you're at all worried about if this is real, you can relax.. the treasury department website has issued fraud alerts for exactly this kind of thing and advise that " government agencies will NEVER contact you by phone, email or text, to ask you to provide sensitive information."
More information, along with where you can report this fraud is at the website below.
I received a call David Jones Department of Legal Affairs regarding an enforcement issue that has been started on my name. I was urged to call him back, or have my retained attorney call. 2 calls in total. First one i will admit. Jarred me a little, and saying that i will be arrested in 2 hours. Which drove me to look it up, and find out that it's a scam. This person then called me again 2 hours later trying to be nice.....How are you?....i say....i haven't been arrested yet. He says why would that happen? I told him i had reported him to the real IRS.gov. he then didn't know how to react, and tried to keep to his lines of informing me verbally about a tax matter, and i was being recorded. I then pulled out my recorder and say...i am recording you now. What are the charges set against me? He didn't want to go into it, and says he is going to try and call me on Monday. I say why? He says it again...i will call you on Monday and hangs up.
