Received a call threatening legal action by the Treasury Dept. Had strong accent that I could barely understand. When I pressed for more info from him he hung up on me! Scam!!!
Answered a semi-intelligible call. The male voice had a strong East Indian accent. He stated something-like he was with the Department of Legal Affairs/Department of Treasury. He had my street address and threatened, by not providing personal information, someone would be out to arrest whatever person at this address. I never could understand the name he stated or if it was even my name.
Caller ID merely indicated "VOIP CALLER".
I recommend not to answer & block this number. It clearly behaved as a scam to obtain personal information.

A male caller with a strong Indian accent identifying himself as "Adam" from The Department of Legal Affairs left a very threatening phone message stating; if I didn't call back or have my Attorney call back I would be facing legal action. I had a family member who is also a FBI Agent call back several times to inquire about the nature of the call and was told that "Adam" was unable to take the call and hung up on them. Total Scam!!
Just got same call and I called his bluff and he hung up. Then blocked me. So I called on cell and he answered. We both had a few choice words to exchange and he hung up on me and blocked me. I'd suggest having every one of your friends call him at least once and bother him. He seems to answer new numbers. Maybe that will cause him to crawl back under his rock but I doubt it.
I just got the same call from "Adam Rogers" with very strong accent stating he was from the Dept. of Legal Affairs and I need to call him to avoid legal action and it was a very serious matter. Tried to call back to shake the tree a bit and busy each time.
A few months ago i put all my numbers back on the "Do Not Call List" and since then marketing and scam calls have increased. This number should be reported to the FCC and FBI = 760-782-6867, as I am doing now.
