Hey he got a name change ... Jim Simmons is on the caller ID but who called me ... Bob Johnson and looking for non-other ... my ex-wife who hasn't been with me in over 20 years! First off the dept. of treasury won't call you period. One would think our legal government could do something but I'm sure they'll consider it "profiling" and gee we can't do that now can we ...
Message left on answer machine. CallerID only had the name Jim Simmons, no phone number. Sounded like a computer generated voice with thick Indian accent. Could not understand but a few words. Seemingly about legal action of some sort. Identified self as "John Davis" could not understand who the message was intended for. Understood call back number to be 760-849-4875.
Am certain this was a potential scam message.
Same general type of call and caller. I've heard him, or someone who sound very much like him, 3 times in the last 3 months. DO NOT CALL BACK OR GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION.

How do they get any information from the IRS to initiate contact to begin with to further their scam? That's the question that needs to be answered. I'm not returning this guy's call! Thanks for letting me know about this scam!
