Received same call as many of you from Susan Fitz and of course the number was blocked. Stated it was a legal matter. Blah blah blah. Also recieved a call from Anna Potts who was gonna serve me with something (didnt say what) for not cooperating if i didnt call back by a certain time. Its been 3 months and Im still waiting to be served whatever I'm being served. Anna Potts also called from a blocked number. And gave me a docket number which doesnt exist. Wasnt even the correct format for a docket number anywhere in the state I live in.
Red flag #1 The number is blocked
Red flag #2 Doesnt mention what the matter is specifically concerning or even a company name that they are working for
Red Flag #3 If a debt collector is actually getting ready to sue you for the debt, they are not going to call and give you a heads up first. Even if it is a legit debt collector, slight chance, they're bluffing to scare you into calling.
Red flag #4 Anyone actually suing you is not going to ask to speak with your lawyer nor put the idea in your head that you need one as they would love for you to show up to court without representation. The whole lawyer thing is to make you feel more comfortable about calling them. They know you're not gonna call a lawyer and pay for services without even knowing what the matter is concerning. Besides I doubt very many people have a lawyer on speed dial and they know that.
