Caller ID: "BIG LAKE MN". Received a call from a guy asking for me by name and saying he was with the department of the veteran affairs and said this is not a sales call. He then asked if (listed address) was my primary property. I said that property was sold. Then he asked for the details of why it was sold. I told him it really wasn't his business. He chuckled and said "okay" sarcastically and then hung up on me as I was explaining to him that he was the one calling me and asking about my personal information. Final Result: Considering this call as a spam call and blocking the phone number.
The first time he called, he said he was going to be in my area. I told him he hasn't even identified himself and he childishly said, "That's why I'm calling, so I don't scare you when I'm there." He has now called back about 8 times--I'm not answering.
I received calls from this number twice. First time was a woman claiming to be from Minnesota Number One Service. She said that they do home exterior repairs and were going to be in my area. As she was talking I Googled Minnesota Number One Service (MNOS) and nothing came up. I told her that her company is not on the internet and she sounds like a scam, then hung up. Call #2 was a man this time. I answered and he said my name in a tone like we have been friends for years. I asked who he was using my first name like you know me, I don't know you. When he mentioned he was from MNOS I told him I was not interested. He kept going with the pitch. I mentioned that I googled his alleged company's name and it doesn't exist on the internet. He said...Yeah it does! I told him I am not interested in your service and to lose my number.
