I have been getting these calls daily. IDs as a Minnesota number. I have no connections to anything there. I finally called the number and when I asked the name of the company it said they were Safe PC Solutions. I simply hung up.... Any legit company even telemarketer would leave a message and not call at all hours 7 days a week.
Got this call for the first time today and the man asked for me by name. Wanted to update software i suposedly bought last year. I said "you must be a scammer because i don't have a computer and since you made the call, you may hang up now and have a real [***] day" he hung up.
These people are running a scam. The first time they called the male voice said that he worked for windows. I told him he was not an employee of windows. He insisted he was. It finally dawned on him what I was saying. So then he said he worked for Micro Soft. I said no you do not and this is a scam call. He was trying to convince me my windows anti-virus had run out. So I began telling him the law and that he was engaging in criminal harassment and theft by deception and criminal fraud. The next time they called they merely said that they wanted to update my anti-virus. This number has a Minnesota area code. Last time it had a Nevada area code. As usual these people just want your money or your personal information. I am looking for a device that will blow out their ear drum. Maybe then they will find other activities to engage in.
