I have been trying to cancel with these people for quite some time. They charged me 3 times in one month and 2 in another trying to 'catch up' on payments for magazines that never should have been payed for in the first place. I had done business with them before, but somehow got 'renewed' without my knowledge, so I'm now working with the resolution department to try and cancel. I don't know about ya'll, but anyplace that actually has 'resolution' department as one of there options when you call spells trouble to me. Also, the lady could not positively tell me that the payments being taken out to 'catch-up' the account were referenced in the disclosure statement. What a croc! I'm very frustrated and I either want my money back, or I want to stop paying, period! I'm threatening legal action and that seems to be getting me somewhere for now. Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm all ears. Thanks
I got a call from these people today and didn't know it was a scam until I came and checked this out. So I just ended up cancelling my card and if that doesn't solve the problem someone is going to court.
I got the same phone call, 10 minutes ago. Midwest Publishing (763)230-7682; Saying that I won $1000 shopping spree. He asked me my age, if I was married or single, what I did for a living and how I supported myself. When i told him I was a student getting my degree in Criminal Justice, he said for me to wait just one minute...the phone line went silent, he had hung up on me.
