I just got called and they said I won an i pad they knew my name and address and asked how I old I was so I hung up. I did a sweepstakes like 3 months ago but its phone number was different than the number that was supposed to call me if I won. And it is in a different state too. these people need to stop calling everyone!
I received a call from this number. When my ans. mach. picked up they hung up. Then immediately called back-- same thing. Third time I answered and no talking. Then immediately afterwards, they (I am assuming) called back on a 'private number' and proceeded to tell me that there was something wrong with my computer security. I told them I was not buying anything. They had the nerve to call back -- different person, same sales pitch. I hung up.
Hi. I am doing paid surveys on-line ... I just started on Saturday. I've received a few questionable calls since then, including one from this guy. He knew my name and probably has my address ... that's a little "unsettling".
I signed up for Publisher's Clearing House and a few more ... and a LOAD of Survey Sites. UGH!
These calls are so annoying ... but, worse ... some people "trust" the guy on the other end and give them whatever they ask for.
