I had the same experience. I received several phone calls from this number. The women I spoke to kept congratulating me about winning a sweepstakes that I hadn't entered. I was cut off several times. Finally, the second woman (I'd had calls in subsequent days and was cut off both times) tried to transfer me to the attorney's office, but (again) we kept getting cut off. Eventually, the "attorney" called me directly and started in on a spiel about taxes that would be due up front. I finally hung up on her--I knew we were headed toward her asking for money up front.
They said they were Publishers Clearing House, international, i won 2nd place for 500,000...Money coming from Manila Philippines headquarters, that i would have to pay 216,000 in taxes, they can cut to 65,000in taxes, but customs need 6,500 to let in country to process, so they could put up 5,000 and i need to put up 1,500 myself to get funds... Its a scam, i called Publishes Clearing house, they never call by phone, only in person at your door, you never need to pay any money out of your pocket...
Received a call from this number that I had won second place in Consumer Sweepstakes. They said would Thu be alright to deliver my check. They even took a short survey. Got transferred to "attorney", who told me he was in Minnesota, but when I asked for his phone number to call him back, the call disconnected. when I tried to call the 763-381-1000 number, it said that it is another area code or is disconnected.
