he called, same guy, same scam, at 9:15 this am. sounded like a cop, said he was from minnesota, collecting and enforcing child support. insanely accusatory trying to collect $40,000 in citing "past felony child support." i said, this is a scam, but he knew the names of the 'aforesaid' children, who are now over 25. all was very real and threatening, typical law enforcement style, stated hed arrange for driver's licenses to be taken away, etc etc. he knew names, and that part was uncanny. altho it felt and smelled like a scam, from the get go and i told him so.
i looked up the number in minnesota and there is no county number for this, and no guy named jim brooks. the number is registered in Anoka, MN; to a private landline, home or little shop business. he was told mail the info supposedly and he said he couldnt. uisthe so called child support bill, and said he could not do that. good one. this is definitely a scam and he feeds on fear.
what this guy doesnt know is that i already figured out everything, and im going to do more on this. this is because one number here is in the phone book and soliticitation is nonstop. when u tell off an annoying 'source' or company, they give ur number to other boiler room callers for [***] like this. im sure this has to do with the phony yellow pages scam callers and a guy who has been trying to sell us grinders and refrigerator magnets for over 4 yrs. harrassing calls for over 4 yrs and at least 2-3 times a week. it all ties together. there is no doubt that "agencies/sources" are giving out numbers to each other. the names he got tho, are a little unusual, but if he has the right software, he can look up anybody and everything all day long. beware.
This same guy called my daughter on her cell phone while she was in class and left her a voice mail to give to me her father. So she called me and Said a guy by the name of Jim Brooks had left her a message for me to contact him due to a court order for back child support. So I tried to call this guy several times then I got suspicious of the number and So I looked the number up on the internet and started doing some searching on the name as well. Because the whole child support thing did not make any since to me.
I was still trying to get in contact with this Jim Brooks guy to really see what he wanted with me and to see what kind of information he had on me. So I continued to call but the weird thing was he call from one number and wanted me to return my call to another number. He called my daughter from the following number: 1-763-712-3725 then he wanted me to return his call to the following number: 1-888-213-8008. I tried calling both numbers with no answer for a good long while with no answer then I started call the number he called my daughter from then all of a sudden he answered .
I only gave him my last name and I ask him what he wanted with me. He told me I had a court order for back child support. I need to get this took care of with him now!!!!! Then I began to ask him some question just to see how much information he knew about me:
I ask him where the order was from ?
What was the case number on the order?
Of course he had the answer and they were right but they went to a divorce, I went thru 16 years ago where this guy gets his information I don’t know. I do believe all this is one big scam to scar people or just to get money. I would love to see him get put in jail. I am trying to find out more information on him. So I can help put him in jail. If anyone happen to have any information on Jim Brooks like his address or who he really is post it on this site and maybe we can alert the federal police and stop him at once he is making money off some people while some of us know he is a fake . I just wish I knew more about this Jim Brooks, I need all the help I can get from anyone who wants to put a stop to this guy. Just post anything you know about Jim Brooks on this site and together we will put a stop to his wrong doings and put him behind bars…
Just got a call from this scam artist today. He's claiming I owe back child support and it needs to be settled now. I checked with my child support enforcement agency here in oregon, and they have no idea who this "Jim Brooks" even is. I've reported him to the district attorney here that handles child support cases, they also have no idea who he is. This guy is obviously a fraud.
