it's salle mae they'll call multiple times a day if they find out you have contact to the person they are looking for. if they are calling for someone you dont know is probably someone used your number as a reference while applying for school that you barely knew, or they made up a number. the reference is just a fall back number to get a hold of you. they wont stop calling unless you change your number, the person they're trying to contact pays their debt, or if they have filed bankruptcy

It is NOT legal for them to call you IF you tell them to stop. That is harshment! If they do call again after you tell them to stop you can file a lawsuit against them for $600.00 for each call. Make sure you get a lawyer who knows about this and has handled such cases before. I finally found one and got $1,800.00 from them and it only took a couple of weeks to get it.
