This number called on my land line. I did not answer because I didn't recognize the Caller ID (Anderson, IN). Kind of wished I had now that some reported it was supposedly ADT. I've had ADT for 30 years. Would have liked to have heard their response. I may just report it to the real ADT as possible fraud attempts on unsuspecting people.
I am on do not call so this cannot be a legitimate business call if it is ADP they are the scum company that you often read about in any Consumer related publication. However it is likely a spamming company that has a contract to solicit possible leads, meaning someone breathing, who they sell to ADT or possibly a company just finding active phone lines which they compile and resell too many spammers throughout the US. There are three companies here in Tampa the do just this. they collect list of phone numbers where they get an answer either human or answering machine. So if you think an answering machine is protecting you from this you are wrong because an answering machine does answer your phone. So all those calls your answering machine is picking up and you're getting no message are no different than you picking up the phone and there being no one there. So don't kid yourself that you are Protecting your number by letting it go to an answering machine. The only way to truly protect it is to not answer the call at all either live or by answering machine or block the number.
