This number called me today and asked for me (by maiden name), and wouldn't continue call until I confirmed. Then was actually asking for a family member (not living in my household, nor ever has); stating they are trying to reach that person and wanted to know if I could relay that message to that person since they couldn't get a hold of that person directly. The claim was that important student loan information was available to them and they are eligble for some benefit...ugh if you left messages already, then I think for something so important maybe the individual actually would of called the company back. it was just weird, annoying, and unwelcomed I knew i shouldn't of answered that call shheesh!
I'm guessing they just looked up and called my number cause I had the same last name. They claimed we were listed as a relative of the person they are trying to get in touch with. Hogwash! I don't believe that for a second nor did I know the person whom they were seeking to locate. I consider this harassment plain and simple!
I received a call this morning and didn't answer. A man left a voicemail saying he's looking for someone and to call him back at 800-562-2525. I googled that number and noticed many people have left complaints; It's a scam! Don't answer and don't call back.
