Another SCAM "Shadow" company riding in on someone else's # or i.d. They use out dated lists they purchase or obtain erroneously, then call everyone on the list and threaten/harass them to pay for something they no longer owe or has reached the statute of limitations on collections (can't legally collect). Other than physically locating them and "taking them out.", nothing you can do except ignore/DO NOT answer "unknown calls. Do NOT have any conversation with them! ALWAYS. Unless you have the $ to pursue them legally, which most of us do not want to nor have the time. Remember: THEY HAVE NO POWER UNLESS YOU GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY!" NO CONTACT = NO OPPORTUNITY.
The lady that called me made accusations that I owed my old apartment complex over $3000. I left there on good terms and even received my deposit back in full. She told me that they were gonna take me to court if I didnt pay the full amount owed over the phone that day. She never told me her name or even what company she was with. After telling her go ahead and take me to court because I have proof that I owe no debt she yelled "you stupid bitch" and hung up on me. There are way too many scams out there. Yall be careful and never just give your information.
