BEWARE!!!!!!!! Got a call from 770-255-7691 did not answer and let them leave a message. Claimed they were from a place called Pyramid consulting, Man on the phone could not even speak good English, very broken, said they had a job opening available, After he said that there was a long pause like he was reading cue cards or a piece of paper.... This is Obviously a SCAM BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! Also beware if you post your Info on Career Builder they will take info off that site and call you about fake jobs to get your info.
Received an email from a person from Pyramid Consulting asking if I was interest in the position. I responded with my resume and received a call. VERY hard to understand the person on the phone. Indian with a heavy accent. Talk about what I have done. But I did not hear any typing or pausing to write as I have experienced with past recruiters. At the end asked about my rate, 60/hr. this was no problem. then told me job was for Capitol one. Ok I have a heavy quality background. maybe its legit. Then I was asked for my SSN so they could run my credit to be sure it is good so they can submit me.???
They ask to fax me a form to fill out and sign.....
If this is legit I find it VERY hard to believe!!!
No company will want your SSN before they talk with you. Use caution!! They have a web site but not sure if its real or not.
Feels very much like a scam!!!! feeding on the those who are looking for work..
They are legit. I use them to recruit for my IT positions. If you want a job, take the call. They are on the vendor list for major companies like UPS, Coke, Cox, Macy's....So don't lose out especially in this down economy.
Pyramid Consulting is legit. I've personally worked with them before. However, they should not be asking for your entire social security number.
What they may ask for is the last four digits of your social security number. This may not be very common but it is not necessarily nefarious. Other companies occasionally do so as well. It serves as a sort of "electronic" signature.
I would say never give your entire social security number to anyone over the phone. And if you are uncomfortable giving the last four digits of your social security number, then don't give that, either. But Pyramid Consulting is a legit recruiting firm. http://www.pyramidci.com/
I did some work for these guys and STILL have not been paid. Do not work for these guys, they are an Indian placement firm working in the US and are not to be trusted.
Got a call from this number this morning. The VM left for me (since I don't answer calls from unknown numbers) was from "Pyramid Consulting" from a male whose accent was so heavy, that even after several reviews of the VM, it was darn near unintelligible. The message referred to a contract job with "Verizon" and to send a resume via email. No email address was given, and if I had questions to call 770-255-7598.
Something doesn't jive with this. I've had recruiters call before, and they've never mentioned who the client was on the phone until I was actually speaking with them.
