Said he was calling from Toyota to extend our warranty plan. I told him that I'm not stupid and I know he's not part of the Toyota company and that I'm not interested in what he's selling. He became aggressive and after an exchange of words and calling me a [***], I told him to get a real job and stop harassing people with their scams. He said he makes more money in a day than I make in a month (which is funny to me since I am a stay-at-home-mom by choice and don't have to work because my husband makes a very comfortable living).
He hung up before I could respond to that last comment. I tried calling the number back but got a recording to press "1" for mechanical breakdown protection or press "2" to be placed on the do not call list.
Note, The voice on the recording is his. Now tell me, do you think he was really calling from Toyota?
BTW: I am on the do not call registry, which is a joke now.
...He told me he was calling about an extended warranty on our Pontiac. I told him 3 weeks ago we were not interested. He continues to call at least once a week. I recognize the number, so I don't answer and he doesn't leave a voice mail. Caller ID shows "JONESBORO, GA." (a neighboring city).
