If I don't recognize the number, I don't bother with it. Very easy to delete messages when someone bothers to leave one. Its' like shredding junk mail.
Usually don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize, but I did today. Call came in today (1/27/2016) @ 4:08 PM Eastern Time. It was a recorded message saying that the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obama Care) deadline was fast approaching. It said to speak with a representative, press 1, or, if you want to be removed from this list, or are over 65, press 2. I pressed 2, and the phone call disconnected. We'll see if this works, or not. Probably not.
1 Missed Call. Caller ID said the number came from a cell phone in GA, but no message left on voice mail. After reading the posts here, this # is getting Blocked. I already had a call from my own phone # today (yikes!), which I reported to my phone company and to the FCC. I really don't need extra grief from these creeps, whoever they are. Tired of all the scammers!
They have called my home every day this week, sometimes more than once a day! I don't answer because caller id says unknown caller. They do not leave msg on ans machine. Wish they would stop calling!!
