This number has been calling me for a while...I work overnights so I sleep most of the day. Even though I don't recognise the number it calls me 6 times in a row...So I answer. He is looking for a Stephen..I inform him he has the wrong number. He says to me " mam I have been calling this number for over a month! And your telling me now that I have the wrong number!!" ( Lost his mind!!) I told him that I work overnights and I never answer the phone. But thank you for calling and giving me s***" ... better yet next time listen to the names that are on the recorded message if they're not of the name of the person you're looking for you might not want to keep calling the same number over... and over ...and over again looking for a Stephen!!
I was getting the same calls from this guy. He gave me the same name AND he said he was from Publisher's Clearing House. Did you receive a response from someone that said he wasn't from that company? Is there some way we can escalate this and inform Publisher's Clearing House if he is falsely claiming he is their employee?
A magazine company got my info 7 years ago and several magazine scam companies have gotten my contact information since, including this Jeremiah.
He is claiming he works for Publisher's Clearing House. So if he doesn't, I recommend they pursue action against them if they ever see this information or if anyone knows how to contact them.
Wow I'm glad I posted this! Believe it or not he called back but my dad answered as I was outside packing my car and he said he apologized and has since removed my mothers number from their list and will not be "bothering" her again. I guess my strongly worded voicemail and the complaint I filed to the FTC worked! As I learn more about this - now that I'm back home - I will keep y'all updated. Mom
Wasn't sure if it was PCH or not but she's on a lot of medicine that makes her foggy. But if he's claiming the same with y'all then I'm gonna make sure PCH knows about it. He's dragging their name and reputation through the mud. I was LIVID that he had the audacity to leave my mother such a disgraceful message.
He told my mom the same thing about sending her to collections. Good luck buddy - with chemo and treatments and PRESCRIPTIONS - I'm sure she could care less about her FICO score at this point. Ugh just wrong on so many levels. Wish I could post the audio. You'd be picking your jaw up off the floor.
I'm on it. This caused her unnecessary stress and confusion at a time in her life where less is more. I will be following up and if he's a fake - he will be going down.
