What I don't understand is why the AG doesn't go after them for criminal acts then. If they can't use the CFPB to regulate an attorney's law practice, they most certainly can use Title 18 USC to prosecute for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, harassment and extortion. When an attorney becomes a willing participant in a conspiracy his actions as an attorney end and his actions as a co-conspirator start. Tell that to the Georgia Supreme Court. "We have no intention of regulating Mr. Hanna's law practice, but we have every intention of prosecuting his criminal acts."
Called unknown name shows. This is a collection agency. I spoke with a person at this company who was very rude and refused to work with an individual on a debt issue. The representative refused an offer on a debt settlement and then proceeded to hang up. This will cost the company the debt as it will not ever have to be paid.
On June 30, July 6, 10 & 15 caller ID #770-916-9220- no msgs left, but they are collection agency for Chase. I have returned a call, but did not get anyway with them- they asked for my SS# (I will not provide to them). They are very rude and nasty. They need to be stopped by one who knows how. I hope they have horrible personal life the way they deal with public.
This company first, they filed a lawsuit on behalf of HSBC bank through the courts and I had a sheriff at my door, twice, delivering this to me for my spouse. Now, a letter came in a couple of days ago saying they were going to take it out of our account if we didn't call them to set up an arrangement with them. Today we got a call from someone who couldn't even pronounce our last name (which is an extremely easy last name). Let the answering machine get it. Can they just ganish your wages or take it out of your account? My spouse says that they can't take it out of our checking acct. Anyone know?
I received a summons last night around 9:30 from this company stating that I owe Capital One $1,090 but there is NO COURT DATE on the papers!! On the very back of the last page, it says the papers were filed on September 24th. Well my local newspaper always post court petitions and when I checked the site, I did not see anything listed with my name on it. Why am I just receiving these papers?? I have never had to appear in court ever! Any advice??
