Recorded woman's voice pretending to be a live caller (uses your first name, followed by a pause, followed by a canned greeting), dubiously pitching women's cancer fund. Seems like they are targeting people based on medical history. My mom passed from breast cancer.
Or, they are simply calling every phone number in your area code and exchange. The law of averages would tell you that they would have to encounter at least one person who has had this medical problem in their life.
i'm with you. never respond or pickup an unrecognized number....bad business. mine called ID says Women's Cancer but I recognized the scam number from once before so I never pick up....these ppl are ALL IDIOTS and I wish there was something other than the DNC , which is useless, to get rid of unwanted calls....SO ANNOYING AND THEY ARE MORE OFTEN THAN NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
