got a call saying they were verifying my husband was on my insurance since our names were different, and they asked me to verify my address, I asked them why they wanted it. so they told me what it was told me they were from United Health Care
don't call them back, its a scam. left 1-888-986-8328 as a call back number. I googled that number and didn't find anything, called united directly and they had no idea what I was talking about.
Received a voicemail staying they are from United health care coordination of benefits department. Sounded suspicious so I called the number on the back of my ID card and they said it was a fake call and they would never ask me for info via phone . Do not give them info!
Caller ID says 781 355 7530 Dedham, MA. "Dee Dee" slight accent left a voicemail saying "United Healthcare" and left this number to call back 800 258 6979. I got the same voicemail yesterday from a totally different number 925 983 4358 Bishop Ranch, CA asking that I call back the same 1800 #. I called United Healthcare to inquire about this and they have no affiliation with these scam calls. Do not answer or give any information and report!
Got a several calls from this number. When I spoke to him, he said he was from United Healthcare and needed to verify my identity with my zip code. I told him that *he* needs to verify he is from UHC first because I didn't trust him, and to send me an email. He insisted I call back on an 800 number. Pfft. I told him to just include the number in the email. Needless to say, no email has come through.
