(STATUTE 235 SEC.8) THEIR BIGGEST FEAR IS GOING IN FRONT OF A JUDGE. THEY PREFER TO RAILROAD YOU IN A PRETRIAL MEETING & GET YOUR SIGNATURE DOCUMENTED AS AN AGREEMENT TO WHATEVER PAYMENT PLAN THEY DEVISE. THEY'LL ALSO STOP ALL COMMUNICATIONS TO YOU ONCE YOUR DEBT IS CLOSE TO BEING PAID ON FULL SO THE MONTHLY INTEREST WILL ACCRUE AGAIN & ONCE YOUR BALANCE W/ACCRUED INTEREST IS HIGH ENOUGH TO GO BACK INTO COURT, THEY'LL P/U THE BALL AGAIN. Do they ask for John Hanley for everybody? They call my number every two months or so, roughly for a week before stopping. They always ask for John Hanley. They have ignored my repeated demands to be removed from their phone list.
They are saying they are collecting payments for a car that was reposessed back in 1989.We don't have any paper work that we have found so far to prove we owe nothing,the car got in an accident after it was sold again and they even tried tp sue us for that. My daughters boyfriend at the time had her turn it in and buy her car, she left the plates on the car and the kid tried to pretend he was her (name can be used for a male or female). I cosigned for this car so my name is on this to. I told her they can't collect after all these years but she told them she would give them $50.00 a month. She is on disability and lives with me,isn;t there a statue of limitations on something like this?We don' know any case number except what they say I think they checked her credit and saw this and added her to their bogus bill collection list. Anyone dealing with this company?
This is EXACTLY what is happening to me. They dont communicate or return phone calls and then start the threats. I go soon to court. Interested to see how this goes!
