Received a call from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I give to breast cancer research all the time, I started to tell the woman that and to ask to call at another time she hung up on me. Makes me think that it's a scam
Caller ID identified this as BCRF. When googled, BCRF comes up as Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is a real charity with a good rating in Charity Navigator. However, it's not clear that the 781-519-7100 is "really" BCRF.
We got a call from this number today at 4:42 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was BCRF. No voice mail message was left. This is obviously a scam, because when I called back (our number is blocked by default on outgoing calls), I heard a recording which stated "The number you have reached is not in service." It will be added to our call blocker, which I highly recommend to eliminate such annoyances.
I missed a call from 781-519-7100 also. I just called back and it went straight to a recorded message that stated we're sorry we missed you. This is the Breast Cancer Research Fund...please call us if you have any questions...1 800...
