Caller ID says "Braintree MA". They leave no message.
I call back after business hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear the following, "Hello and thank you for calling. If you'd like to be placed on a Do-Not-Call list for the number that called you, please, press 1 now."
So we have a spoofed caller ID and the failure to identify themselves. This smells like a SCAM.
I have heard this message with other numbers. They are generally associated with a scam such as: credit card rate reduction, electric rate reduction, faux IRS, MS windows scam, and Xarelto phishing.
We got a call from this number today at 3:51 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was BRAINTREE MA. When I called back (our number is hidden by default on outgoing calls, I heard the same recording that Steve in MA. heard. The number will be added to our call blocker.
